Plastic vs. Leather
Until very recently, the leather slings were superior to the
plastic slings as they had better quality and didn't stretch as
much. But with today's engineering and the introduction of
fibers into the plastic makes the plastic slings a notch better
than the leather ones. The two main advantages are that plastic
stretches less than leather and usually lasts longer. The less
the sling stretches the better - less effect on the recoil, no
changes in length during the match etc.
